Menstruation should never stand in the way of education, opportunity or self-confidence. Yet for millions of girls and women, period poverty remains a daily reality — forcing them to miss school, withdraw from activities, or endure their monthly cycle without safe sanitary products.
Mongato Foundation was created to change that.

We are a purpose-driven non-profit organisation dedicated to fighting period poverty and restoring dignity to girls and women in underserved communities. Our work is rooted in a simple belief: menstrual health is a human right, not a privilege.

Across schools and communities, we provide access to sustainable menstrual products, deliver menstrual health education, and create safe spaces where conversations about periods are open, respectful and stigma-free. But our mission goes beyond distribution — we aim to empower. When a girl can manage her period safely and confidently, she stays in school. When a woman has access to proper menstrual care, she participates fully in society. The impact is generational.

Mongato Foundation was born from the understanding that real change happens when compassion meets action. We listen to communities, collaborate with partners, and design programmes that are practical, culturally sensitive and sustainable.

As we grow, we invite you to walk this journey with us — as a supporter, a partner, a volunteer or an advocate. Every contribution helps protect dignity, unlock potential and rewrite futures.
Because when we fight period poverty, we don’t just change cycles — we change lives.

Together, we can ensure that no girl misses school because of her period and no woman faces her cycle without dignity.
