The Mongato Foundation is a new organisation dedicated to combating period poverty and restoring dignity to girls and women by ensuring access to safe menstrual products. Through menstrual health education, sustainable product distribution, and community outreach initiatives, the foundation strives to break stigma and empower women and girls. By engaging schools, communities, and partners, the foundation creates long-term solutions that enable girls to remain in school and women to participate fully in society. At Mongato Foundation, menstrual health is regarded not as a luxury, but as a fundamental human right.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the governance, strategy, and long-term direction of a growing foundation from the ground up.

We are specifically seeking expertise in:

• Legal and Compliance
• Fundraising and Resource Mobilisation
• Financial Management and Oversight
• Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL)

As a Board Member, you will:

• Provide strategic guidance and oversight
• Support the development of governance structures and policies
• Contribute to resource mobilisation and sustainability efforts
• Strengthen accountability, impact measurement, and organisational growth

We are looking for individuals who:

• Bring relevant professional expertise in one or more of the focus areas
• Are passionate about social impact and community development
• Are committed to ethical leadership and good governance
• Are excited about contributing to a new and evolving organisation

This is a voluntary role, requiring active participation in board meetings and strategic initiatives.
